Half Day Camp Schedule

While timing will vary from camp to camp, here's an outline schedule for a half day multicultural camp.

9 - 9:15am

Starting of the day: theme of the day, country intro and overview of the day's activities, safety and social expectations

9:15 - 10am

Culture share 1: Introduction to the theme country; the day's cultural ambassador introduces their country and culture through an opening activity - this may be a craft, learning some language, geography, or through songs and music.

10am - 10:30am

Culture share 2: Second cultural activity - e.g. craft, art, language, music

Break

10:45am - 11:30am

Culture share 3: Third cultural activity - e.g. craft, art, language, music OR cooking class: participants work in pairs to cook a simple meal from today's country. Following instructions and learning from today's cultural ambassador, children will be supported by camp assistants.

11:30am - 12:30pm

Eat and connect: now's the fun time - eating what they've made together - and a great time for children and facilitators to swap stories of food from our different families and cultures.

12 - 1pm

Parents pick-up: full details of timing and activities schedule will depend on the camp day and timing.
